Here we are. The most joyous, and often the most stressful, time of year. Since losing my son, holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries are pretty tough. Yesterday, I cried. A lot. Today, I'm consciously focusing on embracing new traditions and finding peace and joy in the moment. Today, I'm not letting my mind be in control. How? Bring focus to your breath. Are you shallow breathing? Slow it down. Breathe in through your nose as you count to 4. Hold for 4. Exhale through your nose as you count to 4.
